Vuyiswa’s real name is Zandile Msutwana born on the 6th of July 1979 and is currently 44 years old. She is a South African born in King William’s Town, Eastern Cape, South Africa best known for playing the role of Vuyiswa on Mzansi Magic soapie drama The Queen.
Her marital status is not known for she has not opened up or shared about her partner on social media. Rumours however had it that she was in a relationship with Loyiso Macdonald. She has a baby called Malibongwe Mdwaba whose father is not known.
When she was working on Zabalaza, she was diagnosed with a medical condition known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome which is a hormonal disorder that affects women’s reproductive age. Abnormal hair growth is one of the symptoms of this condition which Zandile struggles with.
She is an actress and TV personality. She studied Speech and Drama at the university of Cape town. Zandile also enrolled at UCT, where she achieved a Performers Diploma in Speech and Drama. While at university her roles in productions included Regan in King Lear, Matilda in The Suit, Aida in On The Brink and Chorus in Trojan Women amongst other plays.
In 2005, she made her first appearance in a film titled Beyond Berlin. She also played a character in a film called Unrequited Love, where she showed the best performance. In 2007-2010 she was best known for her leading role as Akua Yenana, a stockbroker then a lady of leisure on the SABC 1 drama series society.
Zandile portrayed different roles in various South Africa TV films which include White Wedding, Mtuzini.com, Rhythm City, Soul City, Isidingo, Mtunzini, Zabalaza, Isikizi, Igazi’s Season 1 and also recently played a main role of Vuyiswa Jola on The Queen. Her other film casts include The Algiers Murders and A Small Town Called Descent.
She was nominated the SAFTA Golden Horn, Best Supporting Actress award in 2010 for her role in 2009 on White Wedding Film.
She also made commercial appearances and done voice-over jobs for multiple clients and also theatre projects for Kagiso TV and Metrorail.
Zandile Msutwana appeared on the cover of South Africa’s ‘True Love’ magazine in 2009. This beautiful actress has a stylish tattoo of bird silhouettes flying between two large wings that span over her shoulder blades and it is drawn on her upper back.
