Personal Life
The actress was once married and wedded in 1992 with his ex-husband whom she dated for years. They however, divorced three years later after they tied knots after her husband quit their marriage. She has two children, a son Bokang and a daughter Nonkululeko who are above 20 years old and have seven years age gap.
Tinah is a well known face in the entertainment industry in South Africa for her natural acting talent. She inspires fellow artists and upcoming thespians, fans and rape abused victims by opening up about the challenges she has been through in her marriage, house, jobs and personal life until she became pastor. During her interview with the Drum Magazine, she revealed that she lost her home, marriage and facing many challenges because she went against her priesthood calling since 1992 and her pastors’ warning for going against her calling.
In 2003, Tinah bought herself and her children a house in Xavier Reef, Johannesburg during the time she was playing a role in Isidingo. She lost the house to creditors a few years later after purchasing it. She however, managed to pay for the house in 2005 when she was back on her feet. In May 2016, Mnumzana became an ordained preacher and she got back everything she had lost during the period when she disobeyed her calling.
The actress has assisted so many rape victims for years and encouraged them to move on since she has had bad experiences of being sexually abused twice when she was a teenage girl by a family member. She also faced attempted rape by a stranger at her work place as a teacher in Soweto. She was however rescued by her colleagues and students after hearing her scream. Her friend Pamela Nomvete was her greatest supporter in her healing process emotionally until she found peace again.
So people whom she strengthens and encourages are able to heal and move on from her own experiences and to where she is right now. Despite all the bitter occurrences she has gone through, Tinah managed to move on with life and forgave all those who have hurt her. She has become an advocate against for rape and gender-based violence.

The actress acted in theatres and stage plays of numerous directors before featuring in local television series and films playing different roles. She has been in the entertainment industry for close to 4 decades now. Tina first joined acting when she joined the Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (PACOFS) back in 1987.
She is well known for appearing in Soul City TV series in 1994, Isidingo and Scandal and recently played the role of Flora on The River season 1, a Mzansi Magic soap opera as Lindiwe Dikana’s domestic worker and many other followed South Africa shows.
