Personal Life
Themba was born in Soweto, Gauteng and he moved to the Kingdom of Swaziland when he was still young and he grew up there.
He got married to Sophie Ndaba in 1998 and had two children. They divorced in 2007 after thirteen years of marriage and he married Sebolelo ‘Josey’ Ndaba on August 29, 2011 and they have one child together. So altogether he has 3 children namely Rudo Ndaba, Lwandle Ndaba and Sibusiso Ndaba.
Themba and Sophie both had their studies in Zimbabwe because during the time they were ready for college education was unavailable for the blacks in South Africa due to racial segregation in the apartheid era. However, it is unclear whether if the two have met while at college in Zimbabwe or during the course of their acting careers since they were both starring on Soul City TV series. They however, had their love affair and got married.
He is a multi-award winning South African who has been active in the movie industry for over three decades and has become a role model to aspiring many actors and actresses.

In 1970 he started schooling and enrolled at St Mark’s High School in 1982. In 1983 he studied Economics and Statistics in Zimbabwe and worked as a banker in Harare the period he took a break from school. He graduated with a higher National Diploma in Business Studies with a distinction in Economics and Statistics in 1988 at Harare Polytechnic. Themba also holds a UNISA, Theology Diploma in Leadership and Life Training.

In 2009, Ndaba was nominated as the Outstanding Actor in the Drama Category at the Monte Carlo TV Festival. He won a Golden Horn Award in 2011 for being the Best Feature in a movie and in the same year he also won the 2011 Africa Movie Academy Awards for his leading role in the movie Hopeville.
Ndaba turned down an opportunity to be awarded as the best actor at the DSTV Mzansi Viewer’s Choice Awards so as to give other actors an opportunity to do so since he has been nominated for numerous awards during the period of his career as an actor.
