Zweli Dikana’s real name is Hlomla Dandala born on the 22nd of September in 1974. So he is currently 49 years old. He is a South African actor, television presenter and director born in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
He is a son of Mvume Dandala and has a sister called Gqibelo. The five languages he speaks are, Zulu, Sesotho, Xhosa, Africaans and English. He married TV presenter Candy Litchfield in 2001 and and divorced in 2013 with two children. They divorced after an allegation of having children out of wedlock surfaced.
Only three of his five children are publicly known namely, Ziyanda Dandala, Tao Dandala and Sam Dandala.
He studied at Sacred Heart College for his secondary school. After graduating he proceeded to Johannesburg Witwatersrand University where he graduated with an upper class grade.
He is popularly recognized for his role as Derek Nyati in Isidingo from 1995 upto 2001 and also played a character Jacob Makhubu in Jacob’s Cross since 2007. He starred in the drama series Rockville the etv’s prime time soap opera as Gomorrah. From 2016 until 2009 he played a role of Kingsley Siseko Langa in Scandal.
In addition to his roles in series in 2018 he played a character in The River as Commissioner where he popularly known as Zweli Dikana the husband to Lindiwe Dikana.
Hlomla has been one of the dominating actors in South Africa entertainment industry since 1995. The actor featured and directed several TV reality shows, series, miniseries, and films from 1995 up to date. The films he featured include Channel O, All You Need Is Love, Interrogation Room, Madiba, Lord of War, Momentum, Winnie, Fools, Honeymoon Hotel and Happiness Is a Four-Letter Word amongst others.
