Patrice Tlhopane Motsepe (born 28 January 1962) is a South African mining magnate and philanthropist. He is the founder and executive chairman of African Rainbow Minerals, which has interests in gold, ferrous metals, base metals, and platinum. He is the founder and chairman of African Rainbow Energy and Power. Motsepe was the first black African to appear on the Forbes list of billionaires and is the only African billionaire to be included.
