Bonang Matheba was born and raised in Mahikeng, North West Province, South Africa. She is the oldest of three children. She attended St Mary’s DSG in Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal, where she matriculated in 2005.

Matheba attended Monash University in Johannesburg, where she obtained a degree in media studies and public relations. Career: Matheba’s career began in 2006 when she was chosen to be a presenter on the SABC 1 youth show, Live. She went on to host various other shows, including the SABC 1 music show Jam Alley. Matheba also co-hosted a radio show on Metro FM and was a judge on the SABC 1 talent show Class Act.
